Why did we create this portal?

With this portal, teachers get what they need when they need it. Self-reflection and observations set proper expectations aligned to the FFT, recognize existing knowledge, and provide personalized need-based support for every teacher, at scale. This approach prevents redundant PD and wasted time, builds teachers' confidence and accelerates student success.

How can my district effectively use this portal to support teachers?

The FFT in Action powered by 2gnoMe helps districts establish a strong system of support for teachers that goes beyond evaluation. The portal organizes all teachers and their PD learning in one place, aligned to this powerful Framework. Districts have one system to unify growth goals, content, observations, PLCs, coaching, digital portfolio and recertification credits as needed.

How long does it take to implement this portal at my school, district or state?

It takes less than a day to launch a secure private portal for your school, district or state. This portal would include over 400 vetted PD resources. District Admin(s) can also add local resources, assignments, communities, coaches and support staff, as well as training from The Danielson Group specialists as needed.

My district uses the 2013 version of the FFT for Evaluation. What are the major differences?

There are still four domains and 22 components that you are familiar with. In order to ease the transition for teachers and admins, your portal includes this 2022 FFT interactive map. Please see this side-by-side comparison of the major changes between the two FFT versions at the component level.

Do we have to switch our evaluation process to use this portal?

No, we recognize that the process of switching to the new Framework can take time at the district or state level. Therefore, the portal continues to offer the 2013 version, which can be easily switched over to the 2022 version when you are ready. The teachers’ learning, on the other hand, already incorporates the latest version of the 2022 FFT updates to ease transition and familiarize all teachers with the latest domains and components.

How can we transition from 2013 to the updated FFT version?

You can continue to use the 2013 version for teacher evaluation for as long as it is relevant at your school, district or state. The portal will dynamically “translate” existing evaluation results into the personalized learning context for every teacher, and will be complemented by teachers’ self-reflection and your observations aligned to the FFT.
